L’icône barbue aux chemises colorés et patriarche de l’industrie du hot-rod, Boyd Coddington est décédé mercredi le 27 février 2008, 20h heure des Montages,  à l’âge de 63 ans. La cause de sa mort n’a pas été officiellement révélée mais il s’agirait de complications suite à une chute qu’il aurait fait durant le temps des fêtes.

Boyd Coddington died, this wednesday, at age 63.Recognized worldwide as an automotive designer, builder and fabricator of innovative hot rods, Coddington is credited with being the winningest custom-car builder of all time. His accolades include the prestigious Grand National Roadster Show’s America’s Most Beautiful Roadster trophy—an honor he claimed on seven separate occasions.
